New spa area for modern hotel with historic charm

Located in the centre of Kalmar, Sweden, Calmar Stadshotell opened its new spa area in 2023, where both overnight and day guests can enjoy a relaxing spa experience. Troldtekt acoustic panels are used in several spaces in the spa area.

Calmar Stadshotell is housed in a historic building in the centre of Kalmar. Today, it is a modern hotel with historic charm, whose history can be traced back almost 300 years, with the current building dating back to 1906. The hotel is characterised by a personal and relaxed atmosphere, while also offering meeting and conference facilities, a restaurant, Scottish pub, winter garden and library for guests to enjoy. In the summer of 2023, the hotel opened the doors to its new spa Santai Spa & Relax.

In the spa, guests can enjoy three saunas, a spa lounge with food and drink, jacuzzis, a relaxation area and various treatments – with or without staying overnight at the hotel.

In the spa area, Troldtekt acoustic panels are used in the lounge areas, treatment rooms and the jacuzzi area. The black-painted panels, together with the spa area’s floors and walls in wood materials and multicoloured tiles, provide the spaces with a calm and cosy atmosphere. In the jacuzzi area, you can even sit back and enjoy a built-in starry sky in the black-painted panels.

In addition to contributing to the relaxing atmosphere in the spa area, the sound-absorbing Troldtekt acoustic panels ensure an optimal acoustic environment and, with their natural strength, are suitable for rooms with varying humidity levels.
